Roush Yates Engines and Ford Racing Sweep Bristol

Mooresville, NC – Roush Yates Engines swept the weekend’s events at Bristol Motor Speedway by powering Brad Keselowski to his first ever NASCAR Roush Yates Engines and Ford Racing Sweep BristolCamping World Truck Series win, Ryan Blaney to the NASCAR Nationwide Series win, and Joey Logano to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series win. This is the first time since 2006 Roush Yates Engines and Ford Racing have completed the trifecta in all three racing series.

Joey Logano and Team Penske teammate Brad Keselowski finished 1-2 in Saturday night’s IRWIN Tools Night Race at Bristol. Logano made the winning pass with 45 laps to go in the 500-lap race and took the checkered flag for the third time this season.

“We can win the championship. We’ve showed it at every kind of race track,” said Logano, who has finished no worse than sixth in the last five races. “We’ve just got to keep doing it.”

With the Chase for the Championship just three weeks away, Logano and Keselowski are at the top of the standings with three wins each.

“Joey and I both have three wins,” said Keselowski. “We’re entering the Chase strong in a lot of different ways, and I think we’re both legitimate threats to win the championship this year, and I’m proud of that.”

Team Penske and Roush Yates Engines also found Victory Lane in the NASCAR Nationwide Series at Bristol Motor Speedway. Ryan Blaney captured his first win of the season Fridaynight in the rain-delayed Food City 500. Blaney restarted second with just seven laps to go and powered to the front for the win.

“It’s awesome to be here in Bristol in Victory Lane,” said Blaney. “Really I was worrying about salvaging second because Kyle Busch was so good tonight, but we were ready for our opportunity. Luckily we got it and we were able to take advantage of it.”

Keselowski earned his first career NASCAR Camping World Truck Series win Thursdaymorning in the rain-delayed UNOH 200 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Driving the number 19 Ford F-150 for his own team, Brad Keselowski Racing, he led three times for a total of 119 laps. Keselowski took the lead for the final time on lap 125 of 200 and never looked back.

“It was a good battle and Bristol has always been a special track,” said Keselowski. “Doug Randolph and the team gave me a great truck. This thing took off and it was flying and I knew we had a shot at it right away from lap one. It’s a matter of putting it all together and not having any bad luck and everything came together and the team did a great job.”

With his win, Keselowski and his father, Bob Keselowski, became the first father and son duo to win NASCAR Truck Series races. Bob Keselowski won at Richmond International Raceway in 1997.

“My family has been with this series since its inception,” said Keselowski. “I feel I’ve been a part of it too whether it was as a kid watching or now as a team owner and a driver.”
