Scheidies and Guide in Edmonton, CanadaThe 32-year-old visually impaired athlete finished in front of his closest competitor by nearly five minutes in the Edmonton race. Scheidies, who was born with a hereditary eye condition that stripped him of all but about 15% of his vision, has competed in nearly 200 triathlons around the world over the last 12 years.
