Lingerfelter Performance Engineering to showcase corvettes at National Corvette Museum

Lingenfelter Performance EngineeringDECATUR, Ind. – Visitors to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. can enjoy an exhibit through the end of 2013 featuring five coveted, one-of-a-kind Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Corvettes.

Celebrating 60 years of the Corvette, the Corvette Museum is displaying the Lingenfelter vehicles in a special showing now through December 31. Lingenfelter is also celebrating a noteworthy anniversary, marking 40 years of performance-tuning expertise.

“At Lingenfelter we are passionate about all things Corvette, so the National Corvette Museum’s celebration of the 60th anniversary of this amazing automobile is a perfect venue to display some our most special vehicles during Lingenfelter Performance Engineering’s 40th anniversary,” said Ken Lingenfelter, president of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering.

According to Bob Bubnis, editor of the museum’s magazine, America’s Sports Car, owning a Corvette is in itself prestigious, but owning a Lingenfelter Corvette signifies that the owner has a special appreciation for speed.

“In the automotive world and beyond, the name Lingenfelter is synonymous with power, performance and precision tuning,” Bubnis said. “It is only fitting that we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering at the National Corvette Museum with a special display of Lingenfelter Corvettes in our Skydome, where the portrait of Hall of Famer John Lingenfelter is permanently displayed.”

Enthusiasts who can’t make the trip to Kentucky will have access to live video streaming to view some of the Lingenfelter vehicles by visiting http://www.corvettemuseum.org/webcam/index.shtml.
