An Estimated 21 More Horsepower for 2008-2013 Mitsubishi EVO X with K&N Air Intake

air intakeMitsubishi’s 10th generation Lancer Evolution X, debuted in 2008. The EVO X features an all-aluminum 2.0L turbocharged engine, and Super All Wheel Control. The Mitsubishi EVO X is capable of producing nearly 300 horsepower in stock trim. Always hungry for more power, K&N engineers took one look under the hood and decided that more could be done. K&N intakes are designed to dramatically reduce intake restriction as they smooth and straighten airflow. This helps to feed denser air to your engine for more power and torque when you need it. With a K&N Performance Air Intake System, you can count on extra horsepower whether enjoying a lonely country road, or competing in a Time Attack racing event.

RacingMuch consideration was put into the design of part number 69-6546TWR for the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO X with a 2.0 liter engine. Unique features include a powder coated aluminum upper intercooler and turbo inlet tubes replacing the stock pieces for improved air delivery. K&N 69-6546TWR incorporates an application specific air filter heat shield, which retains the use of the factory fresh air scoop. The result of this hard work and enthusiasm for performance is an incredible estimated 21 street-legal horsepower gain at the wheels of an otherwise stock 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 2.0L Turbo.

IntakeAdditionally, K&N has streamlined its internal processes to make obtaining an Exemption Order (EO) from the California Air Resource Board (CARB) more efficient. Obtaining an EO from CARB makes K&N air intake 69-6546TWR available for sale and use in California as well as all other states with similar emissions standards on 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 2.0L Turbo models. K&N’s goal is to have the most 50-state street legal air intake systems of any aftermarket air intake manufacturer. Currently K&N has been granted 41 EO numbers which covers 1,330 K&N part numbers, and 8,594 cars, trucks, and SUV’s.

ChartThis air intake system uses a conical shaped, carbon fiber topped, high-flow air filter RF-1047 and powder coated aluminum air filter heat shield in place of the vehicle’s stock air box. A K&N performance air filter is designed to provide superior airflow and superior performance without sacrificing engine protection. This K&N air filter can perform for up to 100,000 miles before service is required, depending on driving conditions. Improving the air path between the filter and the engine are powder coated aluminum intake and intercooler tubes. The wrinkle red powder coated aluminum air intake and intercooler tubes offer power and a stylish appearance. The 69-6546TWR takes about 90 minutes or less to install using stock mounting points. It requires no cutting or drilling and it is covered by a 10-year/million mile limited warranty.

K&N air intake 69-6546TWR is designed to provide a 50-state street legal performance upgrade for the following Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X models:

2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR 2.0L L4
